Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon finally dished out some wedding details during a Thursday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Witherspoon and husband, CAA agent, Jim Toth, kept it "small and...nice," she said. "My family, it was great -- kids, dancing!"
And while Witherspoon walked down the aisle in a pair of $645 Jimmy Choo platform sandals, she revealed to Ellen that as soon as the ceremony was over, she quickly changed out of "those awful uncomfortable shoes" and pulled on a pair of cowboy boots for the reception.
Keeping with the wedding's country theme, the Walk the Line star said that the reception "had country music, bluegrass, rockabilly band, and then a DJ." The couple's wedding portrait was the ultimate in celebrity glamour, with a guest saying, "(Reese) took your breath away." -- Little did everyone know that Witherspoon was dying to lose those platform sandals and get comfortable!
Now that her own nuptials are over, Witherspoon -- who, as a child, watched Prince Charles and Princess Diana tie the knot on TV -- says she can't wait to watch the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29.
Witherspoon's new movie, Water for Elephants costarring Twilight saga hunk Robert Pattinson, opens April 22, with Witherspoon playing a circus performer. Witherspoon showed DeGeneres footage of her intense training with the eponymous elephants in the picture, saying of the elephants, "They're amazingly intelligent and gentle... It was amazing how she communicated."
Pattinson, who regaled Ellen this week with tales of his underwear escapades, came up once during Witherspoon's interview. Witherspoon said that the six elephants in the movie would roar to one another all night, like a group of gossiping girlfriends, and she imagined that one of them might be saying, "Were you out with Robert Pattinson last night?"
Do tell!
