"It was trial and error, but [my husband] finally got on the right cocktail of meds and that seems to really help. He still has bad days, but through it all we keep the lines of communication open. I am here to listen and never to judge. I do not know how he is feeling because I don't know what it is like, but I am here to just love him and care for him. I know he would do the same for me. I schedule all his appointments and make sure his meds are always filled. I encourage him to get out and get fresh air. People with mental illnesses do better when they have someone there for them. To listen, to love them, to take care of the things they can't." —unschoolymomma07
