If you're a Twilight fan, you'll recall the rumor mill buzzing earlier this year about Robert Pattinson's relationship with non-Kristen Stewart leading lady Emilie de Ravin. The two were reportedly seeing a lot of each other while filming a new drama, shortly after de Ravin's divorce. Was Pattinson two-timing Stewart? We don't know, because they're still not officially dating. Here's what we do know: Pattinson and de Ravin's movie has a new trailer, and there's definitely some chemistry going on.
Remember Me, a "romantic drama," stars Pattinson as an NYC college student who's become violent and rebellious since the loss of his mother. Just when things start to seem hopeless, he finds redemption in his love for de Ravin, a classmate with a lust for life. But soon -- well, here's what the official synopsis says: "Soon, hidden secrets are revealed, and the circumstances that brought them together slowly threaten to tear them apart."
The trailer, below, promises a revelatory performance from Robert Pattinson, who's forsaking his usual supernatural powers for a James Dean-like intensity. Emilie de Ravin, best known as Claire on Lost, is also establishing herself here as leading-lady material. And the pairs' dueling fathers are played by Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper, both actors who need few words to say volumes. In short, it all looks very promising. Plus there's that great line spoken to Pattinson partway through: "That's why chicks dig you, man. They love this freaky poetic crap." Indeed we do.
