No worries, Celine Dion fans. Last week rumors flew that the singer, who's pregnant with twins, was hospitalized due to complications and had to undergo emergency surgery after a pregnancy-jeopardizing health scare. But a rep for Dion, 42, says she's just fine.
Multiple news sources claimed that the Canadian superstar was rushed to an unnamed hospital in Miami last Saturday, where she supposedly underwent a procedure known as cervical cerclage, in which doctors either tighten or completely close the cervix in order to prevent its premature dilating and thus an early delivery.
Calling the stories of Dion's medical troubles "fabricated" and "100 percent not true," the rep promises that her client is "happy and healthy and never had a procedure."
The news comes as a huge relief, as Dion's been open about her struggle to add to her brood. After multiple rounds of fertility treatments and one unsuccessful pregnancy, the star and husband Rene Angelil joyously announced that they were expecting twin boys.
Dion is currently six months along.
