Halle Berry is sporting something shiny on her finger. Could it be an engagement ring? The Oscar-winning beauty, 45, was photographed wearing some serious bling on her left hand's ring finger earlier this week, causing widespread speculation that her French beau Olivier Martinez, 45, might have proposed.
So is she or isn't she? The answer is, nobody knows yet. Neither the hot single mama nor the French actor's reps have confirmed or denied the engagement press, E! News reports.
Berry -- who has 3-year-old daughter Nahla with her ex-boyfriend, French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry -- first stepped out with Martinez in fall 2010. Since that time, she's been in the news more often for her custody battles with Aubry than her romance with Martinez.
It has been more than 15 months since Berry and Martinez were first spotted publicly together, so it's not out of the question that the two would be headed toward marriage. But of course the ring could just be...a sparkly accessory!
If the ring really is proof of an engagement, this would be Berry's third time headed down the aisle. However, Martinez -- who's dated quite the impressive list of beautiful women, from Kylie Minogue to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley -- would be a first-time groom.
Berry hasn't had the best of luck in the marriage department. Her first marriage to former baseball player David Justice lasted three years (1993-1996) before they split. Five years later, Berry married again to Eric Benet in early 2001, only to divorce in 2003. Will the third time be the charm?
