Hot on the heels of reports that Alex Rodriguez was making time with all sorts of ladies this past weekend in Miami, a source close to the Yankee's most current flame, Kate Hudson, says the two have split.
Reps aren't commenting and, if they are over, it must have happened pretty recently because Kate just told David Letterman, on Thursday night's show, what a great guy the player is.
"You're a big Yankees fan, and you're friends with Alex Rodriguez," Dave said, to which the giggly blonde replied, "Yeah, he's a friend of mine. Nice guy."
But, when Dave pressed on for more details, Kate balked. "Can't we talk about the holidays?" she smiled. "So is he a nice guy?" Dave asked. "Yeah, he's a nice guy," Kate finally said. "You just can't help yourself! You just can't! I knew it was going to come at some point!"
Dave went on to point out that Alex's bat began to heat up after Kate started attending games. "His game changed when you started showing up regularly at ball games," the host said.
"It was a really fun summer," Kate said, adding that the Yanks winning the World Series "was awesome!"
