Rescue Drooping Roses

For two years my Roses of Sharon bloomed beautifully. Last year we had a drought (upstate NY) and they were floppy and just looked horrible. Anything I can do?

Question:

It wouldn't hurt to prune off some of the dead wood as well as any weak branches. But, I think for right now, I would add some liquid or granular fertilizer to it.

Unless you've had a huge amount of rain, you might want to use a drip hose to water them slowly (place the hose near the roots). Even with drought or harsh weather, Roses of Sharon tend to be very resilient.
