In addition to grief counseling, this nonprofit organization provides free mental health services to military personnel and their families who are affected by the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Our Fallen Soldier
Created in memory of Sgt. Kyle Colnot who was killed in Iraq in 2006, the organization provides free web space to families to create memorials to their fallen soldiers. It also raises funds in an effort to provide financial support for grief camps for children, plus individual family assistance.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)
This organization offers a 24-hour hotline to support those who are grieving the death of a loved one who died while serving. From peer support groups to grief seminars and camps, TAPS' mission is to care for families of the fallen in whatever way it can.

Blue Star Families
Blue Star Families is a nonprofit organization created by military families that serves as a bridge between families and support and service organizations that aim to make military life more sustainable.

Camaraderie Foundation
The mission of the Camaraderie Foundation, Inc. is to provide supplemental spiritual, emotional and counseling support for re-deployed or deployed military personnel, as well as to their families. Camaraderie Foundation offers 75 percent financial scholarships for counseling services to qualified service members, spouses and children of service members.

Military Family
Beyond fighting for rights and benefits for military families in front of lawmakers, this organization also offers a scholarship for military spouses and runs the Operation Purple Program, which offers free summer camp for children of military families, among other volunteer and service initiatives.

National Guard Family Program
The National Guard Family Program supports families of National Guard members.

National Military Spouse Network
This organization is a networking and professional development group for military spouses.
