Ricky Won't Play It Safe

Last year, Ricky Gervais caused quite the stir after his second consecutive go at hosting the Globes. After the brazen Brit targeted Hollywood heavy-hitters such as Angelina Jolie, and Robert Downey, Jr., the Hollywood Foreign Press Association released a statement saying, "When you hire a comedian like Ricky Gervais, one expects in-your-face, sometimes outrageous material. Certainly, in this case, he pushed the envelope and occasionally went too far. The HFPA would never condone some of his personal remarks." Well, they may not be condoning it, but they did ask him to come back for a third time! "The outrage I caused was…totally out of proportion to the things I said. I don’t think anyone had any right to be offended. This year I’m going to make sure their offense is completely justified," the funnyman wrote on his blog. Be forewarned!
