Who they are: The American Cancer Society, recognizing that thousands of patients need rides to cancer treatment every day either because they do not have a ride or cannot drive themselves, coordinates volunteer drivers to take these patients back and forth to life-saving treatments.
How you can help: Serve as a volunteer driver (you must have your own car), or become a driver coordinator to help schedule the rides. Call 1-800-227-2345 to find volunteer driver opportunities in your area.
