When Rihanna throws a birthday party, she throws a birthday party. The "We Found Love" singer turns 24 on February 20, but she celebrated her birthday Monday night in Beverly Hills surrounded by 100 of her closest friends.
According to People, Rihanna's BFF Katy Perry -- with whom she snuggled at the Grammys (see photo above) -- was in attendance, as were Bruno Mars and Rihanna's "Princess of China" collaborator, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
The party, which was held at the Hearst Mansion, featured a Caribbean theme to help native Barbadian Rihanna feel closer to home. Guests enjoyed a Caribbean-style dinner and Sprinkles cupcakes decorated with Barbadian flags. A bass drummer laid down some Caribbean beats, and Rihanna also set up a photobooth with dress-up clothes for her attendees to play around with.
"Rihanna was dancing all night and had an amazing time celebrating with her friends," one attendee told People.
Even though much of the party was clearly planned out by Rihanna ahead of time, around 2 a.m. she was treated with a surprise. A custom birthday cake was wheeled out featuring a picture of Rihanna lying on her stomach in a teeny red bikini bottom over a giant seashell. In addition, more than 20 bottles of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold Champagne were brought out for guests to enjoy.
As if that weren't enough to make this Rihanna's best birthday shindig yet, attendees were sent home with high-end Camacho cigars. How do we score an invite to next year's RiRi birthday bash?
