There's been a lot of buzz since we found out that Rihanna got a new gun tattoo the other night.
Why did she do it? Was it a cry for help? A message to alleged attacker Chris Brown?
UsMagazine.com spoke to the Ri's tattoo artist, BangBang (I swear!), who said this new ink had been in the works way before anything went down with Chris.
"We've been talking about the idea for a year," Bang said of the artistry he created for the pop satr last Thursday. "She had a necklace with a gun, and I love it. I was like, 'How about the gun?'"
"I printed it out, put it on her shoulders," BangBang continues. Although photos show the singer with a gun drawing on both shoulders, he only inked her right ribcage because "it took a little bit away from her face. She's so beautiful. That's not what we're going for!"
Rihanna was reportedly thrilled with the result.
"It's powerful. It's protection. At least that's my interpretation of it," BangBang said.
Does anyone else think it's ironic that BangBang is name of the guy who put a gun on Rihanna?
