With all that's happened to Rihanna
over the past year-and-a-half, it certainly is nice to hear her say, "I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy." Which is exactly what the singer told Elle
magazine in the July issue of the magazine about her blossoming relationship with Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp
"I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy," the 22-year-old "Rude Boy" songstress
tells the magazine. "I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”
Talking openly about her relationship with the baseball player is a step for the singer, who just a few weeks ago told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show
that, "It's new, and it's fun, and it's nothing too serious."
Whether it's because of Kemp or her family or both, Rihanna explains that it was crucial for her to move on from the 21-year-old Brown. "I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore," she says. "I wanted to be with him again or get over him -- it was either-or. I just didn't want to feel the pain, the confusion."
