Looking at this beautiful photo of Rihanna on the new cover of People, then imagining what she must have looked like after Chris Brown allegedly beat her up, just breaks my heart.
The mag spoke to members of the "Umbrella" singer's family, who say they were blindsided by Chris' attack.
Chris "flew so far under everyone's radar that we just didn't think he was that [abusive] type," some of her relatives back in Barbados said. "He was always looking after her need, making sure she was happy."
Rihanna has yet to say anything publicly, but Chris has released a statement apologizing for the events -- which has some worrying that Rihanna could give him a second chance.
"I don't want her to go back to him," Ri's family member said. "I don't think anyone does."
We hope she's healing....
