Friendly Rivalries Abound

Speaking of friendly rivalries, George Clooney is also up against another buddy -- Brad Pitt -- in the best actor in a drama category. This is just another one of the many familiar face-offs happening in this year's Globes, including longtime BFFs Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation) and Tina Fey (30 Rock) who are both vying for TV’s best comedic actress honor, while The Iron Lady star Meryl Streep will joust with The Help star Viola Davis (with whom she costarred in Doubt) in the best actress in a drama category. "Can you wrap your mind around someone throwing you into the ring with Meryl Streep?" Davis recently quipped to Entertainment Weekly.
