Rob Lowe: Now

Lowe (pictured in 2010) achieved critical acclaim playing deputy communications director Sam Seaborn on The West Wing, but made an admitted misstep after exiting the series when he turned down the role of Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy (Patrick Dempsey nabbed it). Lowe appeared on ABC's Brothers & Sisters until the end of its fourth season and, these days, is a series regular on NBC's Parks and Recreation.

On the personal tip, he dealt with legal issues again from 2008-09, when he filed lawsuits against three former employees, including a nanny he claimed was trying to extort $1.5 million from him (the suits were eventually dropped). Lowe has been married to makeup artist Sheryl Berkoff since 1991, and the couple has two sons together. Lowe's autobiography, Stories I Only Tell My Friends, is available April 26 and dishes all the dirt on his Brat Pack days.
