Rob Lowe is getting ready to dish the dirt -- about himself! An original member of Hollywood's Brat Pack, the actor has lived a whole lot of life in the spotlight, and now he's writing a memoir.
Stories I Only Tell My Friends, published by Henry Holt and Co., will actually be written by Lowe, 46, (as opposed to a ghostwriter) and is being described as a "mid-career meditation on his four decades as an actor." It will cover his "misunderstood" childhood in Ohio, his St. Elmo's Fire days as a teen heartthrob, his acting career as an adult and, on a personal level, his experiences as a father and husband.
There was no word on whether or not Lowe, who just joined NBC's Park and Recreation, will touch on the numerous sex scandals that he has encountered along the way, but he certainly has enough material to tell an interesting story.
Stories I Only Tell My Friends is due to hit bookstores in May 2011.
