Robert Downey Jr. could be having a junior (or is that a third?) of his own. The Sherlock Holmes star announced on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno that he and his wife, producer Susan Levin Downey, are expecting a baby boy.
Downey, 46, initially told the late-night host that he wasn't allowed to reveal the gender.
"I am not permitted to discuss it. I can't say a word," he said, then immediately blurted, "We're having a boy!"
The father-to-be then jokingly put his head in his hands and said, "S---! I did it."
But the baby, who's due in late February, has already proven himself to be a troublemaker. The actor says the pregnancy has been particularly hard -- on him! "It's been tougher on me. Just the hormones and the moods stuff and the nausea, and the whole thing."
The Downeys, who married in 2005, announced their pregnancy in August. This will be the first baby for them as a couple, but Downey already has an 18-year-old son, Indio, from his previous marriage to Deborah Falconer.
Fans of the Oscar-nominated actor can see him reprise his role as the legendary fictional detective in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which hits theaters Dec. 16.
