We just can't seem to keep our eyes and ears off of Robert Pattinson this week (though, can you really blame us?). The typically reclusive 24-year-old star of the Twilight saga is currently out promoting the third installment of the series, Eclipse (opening June 30) -- and he's been chatting up a storm in recent days, on everything to on-screen smooches to advice from his dad.
And while the hunky London native didn't exactly bare his heart about his rumored relationship with costar Kristen Stewart, he did just tell Parade magazine that while filming the latest sequel with K-Stew, "Kissing felt a little bit more natural in Eclipse, even if there was plenty of it."
Even if Pattinson is staying tight-lipped about a romance between he and Stewart (he told Parade that fans "want everything in our lives to be like Twilight"), he seems to be getting some pretty good advice on his love life.
Dropping by The Tonight Show, Pattinson told Jay Leno that his father (in attendance for the appearance, alongside Robert's mum) likes to send him emails ("which I love, love getting" the actor noted) -- one of which was about nice gestures for the ladies.
Pattinson told Leno that his father recently suggested to him via email, "Kiss a lady's hand, it's very romantic and refined. Offer a hand...a shake and then the kiss. I impressed your mother that way." Well, at least now we know Robert inherited his charm!
Here are more notable R-Pattz soundbites from this week:
"I just thought if too many good things happen, then you're gonna die at 30. I didn't want that to happen. Yeah, so probably, I'm going to die at 30. Actually, it's God saying, 'Hey, you shouldn't have asked for too much.'”-- On why he thinks he'll die young (Nightline)
"In logical terms, if you're just walking down the street and every single stranger on the street knew your business and came up and felt the need to comment on it, you'd just be like, 'Shut Up! I'm gonna kill you!'"-- On fame (Nightline)
"I think the initial moment when you're walking to set (is nerve-racking). They give you a little robe and the moment you have to take it off you want to throw up." -- On shooting a nude scene for his upcoming film the Bel Ami (The Tonight Show)
"I mean, they've seen all of it before." -- On whether his parents are okay with his on-screen nudity (The Tonight Show)
"I've just bought a couple new guitars, and I've started trying to write things again. But I never have any time, ever." -- On his other passion, music (MTV)
