Robert Pattinson is ready to show his face again...on national television. The actor, who has kept a low profile since his girlfriend Kristen Stewart was caught cheating on him, is scheduled to appear on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Aug. 15. He'll be there to promote his new film, Cosmopolis -- but it's a live interview, and you know they won't cut to commercial without bringing up his personal life. Wonder what he'll say?
On Saturday, the actor was seen in public for the first time since Us Weekly published photos of his longtime girlfriend in a tryst with director Rupert Sanders. Pattinson, who has been staying with actress Reese Witherspoon, visited a country-western bar near Witherspoon's Ojai, Calif., ranch. Witnesses say that the actor was smiling and enjoying himself as he partied with friends. But Us Weekly reports that he is still devastated by Stewart's betrayal.
"He's questioning everything," says a source, who claims that Pattinson has been "a total mess."
In fact, another report from Radar Online says that Pattinson has gotten angry all over again because he thinks that Stewart might be having another affair. The actress is reportedly staying with her pal Giovanni Agnelli, who directed her in Welcome to the Rileys. And though she is said to be "crying her eyes out non-stop," Pattinson has allegedly accused her of sleeping with Agnelli.
"Rob knows Agnelli and has been calling him a lot since Kristen has been there," a source told the website. "Giovanni got a call from Pattinson around four this morning, threatening him if he has been sleeping with Kristen. Rob is beside himself over Kristen's betrayal. No one has ever seen him like this."
Another report claims that Pattinson was "very close to proposing when he heard about the affair."
Stewart is still in hiding from the media, and hasn't said a word to the public since her apology statement. However, a very convincing K-Stew stand-in has emerged to tell her side of the story. Watch actress Laura McDonald's very funny (and so, so wrong) take on the scandal in the parody video below -- enjoy!
