Uh-oh -- Donald Trump doesn't think that Robert Pattinson should have taken Kristen Stewart back. This will seriously hurt Rob's chances of winning Celebrity Apprentice.
The billionaire television personality, who still believes that people care deeply about his opinions, tweeted some unsolicited advice to the Twilight actor on Wednesday.
"Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart," Trump declared. "She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again--just watch. He can do much better!"
"Like a dog?" Ouch. Trump is referring, of course, to the scandal that rocked the celebrity world this summer, when Stewart was photographed making out with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. (She has been dating Pattinson for four years; he is married to model Liberty Ross.) The Twilight stars spent weeks apart before slowly, tentatively reuniting in mid-September. Now, sources say that they're "officially" back together, just in time to remove any awkwardness from the Breaking Dawn Part 2 red carpet.
After holding their collective breath for three months, Twi-hards don't want anyone sabotaging the Robsten reunion -- especially not Donald Trump. (Has he even seen a Twilight film? Doubtful.) Trump was bombarded with angry retorts to his cynical tweet. But of course, the Rob-and-Kristen defenders didn't change his mind. "Lots of response to my Pattinson/Kristen Stewart reunion," he wrote on Thursday morning. "She will cheat again--100 certain--am I ever wrong?"
Is The Donald ever wrong? Yes. Will Rob and Kristen stay together? The verdict is still out; some skeptics fear that they're only playing nice to support the final Twilight film, which hits theaters in November.
On the other hand, it appears that Sanders and Ross, the other couple devastated by the cheating scandal, may have made amends. The director and model, who have two children together, are reportedly doing well in marriage counseling. According to TMZ, Liberty has established "ground rules" for Rupert to follow if he wants to come back to his family (including, obviously, keeping a safe distance from attractive movie stars). While neither of them is wearing a wedding ring, they were photographed sharing an affectionate hug outside the marriage counselor's office. Hopefully at least one relationship will emerge from the rubble in tact, with or without Donald Trump's blessing.
