Every celebrity fragrance commercial is supposed to be sexy, but Robert Pattinson's new one really succeeds. In his spot for Dior Homme, the Twilight actor has a wild, passionate affair with a beautiful blonde, set to the chords of Led Zeppelin. Watch below! (Slightly NSFW.)
"I didn't want to make something posy or model-y," Pattinson says in a behind-the-scenes interview. "I wanted to add some anger to it and add a bite to it and (make it) sexy as well."
Mission accomplished! Personally, we liked it enough to watch both the official ad and the uncensored director's cut. (There's also a behind-the-scenes video, if you want some Bashful Real-Life Rob to balance out your Sexy Commercial Rob.)
But how does it stack up to other celebrity perfume ads? Let's take a look at a few other heartthrobs' commercials for comparison. And, you know, for an excuse to watch them again.
Brad Pitt, Chanel No. 5
Concept: A scruffy, long-haired Brad looks soulfully into the camera as he waxes philosophical about life.
Sexier than Rob? Hmm, we think Brad is sexier when he takes himself a little less seriously. If he'd only cracked a smile, this would be a tough contest. As it is, Rob wins.
David Beckham, "Classic" Fragrance
Concept: David puts on a suit. Slowly.
Sexier than Rob? Watching David Beckham undress is pretty much the definition of sexy. We're calling this one a draw.
James Franco, Gucci "Made to Measure"
Concept: Franco drives around the city in a fancy car, comes home to a fancy apartment.
Sexier than Rob? Franco looks hot in a tux, but with all the city views, this is more like real estate porn. Point goes to Rob.
One Direction, "Our Moment" Fragrance
Concept: Harry Styles and the boys play around with fruit, flowers and wind machines, to the tune of a song from The Sound of Music.
Sexier than Rob? Are you kidding?
