GET THE EXERCISES

Diane and Steve
This 40-something couple gets closer with body slides, cheek-to-cheek bends and lovers' lat stretches to alleviate each other's tension. Watch the video.

Body slides:
Line up with your partner, back to torso. While doing a side bend, the partner in the back slides their hands down the other's legs. The partner in front will feel flexion stretching (as body folds to the side) and the rear partner will help with flexion stretching. Switch places with your partner and repeat four repetitions on each side.

Cheek-to-cheek bends:
Stand back-to-back and take turns bending forward and back supporting the other partner's stretch. When you return to the neutral position, both of you bring your arms over head and pause so that blood flow can return to normal down the back. The partners will alternate between four reps.

Lovers' lat stretches:
Face your partner. One partner bends forward and stretches the back of the other with their feet in a wide stance, legs spread apart as far as comfortable. A slight tension is placed on the stretching partner to maximize the stretch as their hips go back and arms come forward. You will switch and repeat four times.

Jen and Jim

This 30-something couple finds alone time with connection breathing, Chi Sao seduction for a deeper connection and tantric hamstring stretches to loosen up the legs and hips. Watch the video.

Connection breathing:
Face your partner. Start by putting your palms together. Press your arms to your side then motion them up over your head. The woman leaves her hands over her head and the man runs his hands down her arms back to start position. Next, the woman outlines the face of the man and returns back to the start position. Alternate and repeat the motions four times.

Chi Sao seduction:
This exercise is a flowing continuous motion of touch. Face your partner, lining up each other's forearms. Gaze into each other's eyes, then start a side-to-side lunging motion with your legs and rotate your arms in different directions, but always maintaining contact with the forearms and wrists. You will become "connected" by following each other's motions. Do this for one minute and repeat twice.

Tantric amstring Stretch: Assume a missionary-like position on the floor, while your partner kneels between your legs. One hamstring at a time is stretched as the kneeling partner is between the lying partner's legs pressing their body weight forward for maximum stretch. Switch and repeat.

Sari and Ben

This 20-something couple finds balance with triangle leg stretches, trust squats to gain confidence in each other and sensual circles to enhance their connection. Watch the video.

Triangle leg stretches: Sit on the floor with your legs spread apart, while your partner gets behind you in a kneeling position, dropping some body weight on the seated person's back. Both partners should reach towards the front. Next, reach towards the left foot, then the right foot. Remember to breathe. Switch and repeat.

Trust squats: Face each other holding hands. One partner squats to separate the palms, one set facing up, the other facing down. The squatting partner rolls down to the floor and extends their legs, then tucks back up to start position. The supporting partner should not let go of the other as they go through this motion and aids the partner in getting back to the starting position. Switch and repeat.

Sensual circles: Sit hip-to-hip with your partner facing opposing directions. Clasp hands. One person rotates their torso front to back in a circular trunk rotation. The other partner supports the rotation and pulls them back to center. In the center, tuck into a close position taking in the essence of the other at the neck. The other partner then rotates. Legs will remain still and quiet throughout this stretch.
