Rosie O'Donnell and new girlfriend Tracy Katchtick-Anders certainly have their hands full. The couple, who began dating late last year, has a total of ten kids between them!
"Tracy has six kids, she lives next door," O'Donnell, 48, told UsMagazine.com. Add those to the talk show host's own brood of four -- Parker, 15, Chelsea, 13, Blake, 10, and Vivienne, 7 -- and you've got a modern-day family sitcom waiting to happen.
"[Tracy's] oldest is out of the house," O'Donnell explains. "So it's nine total. It's a lot! We're the Gay-dy Bunch!"
O'Donnell announced her split from her kids' mom, Kelli Carpenter, in 2009, and started dating Katchick-Anders soon after. The comedian says, though it's difficult at times, she and her girlfriend are managing to keep their big family happy.
"It's a challenge, but when you fall in love with someone, they come with a whole bunch of things, including children," O'Donnell says. "Part of the reason I fell in love with her was her love of kids. She was a foster mom and took in 12, 13 kids, and adopted a whole bunch as well. She's pretty amazing."
O'Donnell is also getting set to head back to television in January, as she has a new show premiering on the Oprah Winfrey Network. The show's format? "A single topic, one hour, daily strip in the afternoon. Real people, real topics, what America is talking about. It won't be too much celebrities, or guests promoting something," she explains. "We'll do everything from autism to losing weight to what's happening with Don't Ask Don't Tell. It'll be a whole spectrum of stuff, similar to what [Oprah] does."
