Katy Perry and Russell Brand haven't commented on the latest round of break-up rumors ... or have they? The couple, married for fourteen months, raised eyebrows by spending the Christmas holiday in different countries. Now eagle-eyed celebrity watchers have noticed them sending another message: Neither one has been wearing a wedding ring.
On Christmas Day, Perry, 27, was photographed by paparazzi swimming on the shores of Kauai sans ring. Then again, she wasn't wearing any other jewelry, or even much clothing, because she was swimming in the ocean. It might have been much ado about nothing. But then on Thursday, Brand, 36, was photographed walking down a London street with a naked ring finger.
Rumors of marital trouble have plagued Brand and Perry throughout 2011, though they have denied them at every turn. At the beginning of December, Perry mocked divorce rumors on Twitter, while Russell Brand swore on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he was taking his "till death do us part" vow seriously.
However, Us Weekly reports that the couple canceled their family Christmas plans and went on separate trips after a "massive fight." Sources at E! News also claim that things have been tense between Brand and Perry this month.
"They haven't split up just yet, but things are not good," says an Us Weekly source. "The fighting is getting worse."
Of course, we're talking about two people who fell in love when she lobbed a bottle at his head. Maybe a mutual diva fit from time to time is just part a natural part of their relationship?
