There's nothing quite like a love that stands the test of time, and nobody quite like The Notebook's Noah Calhoun. Ryan Gosling played young Noah in the 2004 tearjerker (based on the Nicholas Sparks book) about an aging woman (Gena Rowlands) with Alzheimer's and the man (James Garner, as elderly Noah) who loved her since she was a young girl (played by Rachel McAdams). In a flashback-filled story of heartbreak, passion, and tender memories, Noah is a strong, sensitive hero who shows undying devotion to his love of a lifetime. On the swoon scale from 1 to 10, Noah scores a 15.
