Ryan Reynolds Vows to Keep Life with Scarlett Private

The actor explains why he and Scarlett Johansson try to keep their happy marriage out of the headlines

For Ryan Reynolds, being married to Scarlett Johansson is pretty fantastic -- but he doesn't feel the need to plaster the depth of their love all over the world.

"For the most part – I can only speak for me, as one half of that relationship – I choose to remain as private as possible without being secretive," the 33-year-old says in the new issue of GQ.

The Green Lantern star says that he and Johansson, who wed in a super hush-hush ceremony 2008, like having a relationship that is all theirs. But he denies being obsessed with hiding every little minutia from the press.

"I think it's embellished upon," he says. "It hasn't been some covert operation. I mean, certainly the wedding was, but I believe anyone should have the right to have a private wedding ceremony. I think if anything's sacred it should be that."

Calling his marriage "the best part" of his life right now, Reynolds says that he and Johansson have talked about adding to their twosome (they're thinking of adopting!) --- just not quite yet.

It's "a few years down the road, having a family," he said. "That's years away at this point."
