'Safe Haven' (Feb. 14)

Short Story:
Katie (Julianne Hough) is on the run. Although it's not immediately revealed what she's fleeing from, we know it's a past that continues to haunt her, even as she settles in Southport, N.C., and falls for a widowed general store owner (Josh Duhamel). But when Katie's secret suddenly invades her new life, how will it affect her blossoming love?

What They're Saying:
"[Author Nicholas Sparks will] never get an award for originality, but when it comes to rehashing formula and pleasing his audience, the man is a master." -- Time

Good for Kids?
The littlest viewers may not be interested in Safe Haven, and for good reason: Although Common Sense Media says "the romantic stuff is pretty tame for teens," the film as a whole deals with uncomfortable themes like alcoholism and domestic violence.
