Taking her spot on the podium to accept the trophy for outstanding performance by a female leading actor for The Blind Side, Bullock thanked her peers for the honor.
"If this were only not televised so I could use the appropriate words I'm feeling right now," she said. "I'm Sandra Bullock, and I'm an actor and I'm so proud to say that in a room full of faces that have inspired me."
As always, Bullock remembered to give props to her husband, Jesse James. "You get dressed up in monkey suits and you sit at a table with people you don't know," she said. "And I leave you there, and then you come back with, like, Morgan Freeman's e-mail [address]. I don't know how you do it. I love you so much, and you're really hot. And I want you so much!"
Other big movie winners of the night included Jeff Bridges, for outstanding male leading actor in Crazy Heart, as well as Mo'Nique, who was named outstanding supporting actress for her role in Precious, and the cast of Ingourious Basterds.
In the TV category, the cast of Glee prevailed, taking home the award for best ensemble cast in a comedy series, while 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin collected the big acting awards. Mad Men won for best TV drama, while Dexter's Michael C. Hall and The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies added SAGs to their trophy walls.
