Salma Hayek To Guest Star on Ugly Betty

The last time Salma Hayek appreared on TV, Bill Clinton was in office and no one had ever heard of Ross and Rachel. The year was 1993 and the sitcom she briefly appeared on was called The Sinbad Show, which she was promptly written off of after only a few episodes. You're probably asking yourself, who's Sinbad and who is he to write off Salma Hayek? Well, she had the last laugh as she's done alright for herself as a movie star, oscar nominee and now a TV executive producer. Salma is one of the people who got the new ABC hit drama Ugly Betty on the air. And now she's going to be appearing in front of the camera for a few episodes starting November 2, just in time for the all important month of sweeps when every network show pulls out all the stops for big time ratings. Not that the show needs Salma's help. Ugly Betty has been pulling in more than 15 million veiwers a week, almost doubling the numbers ABC was doing last year in the 8 o'clock hour on Thursday nights which is why they picked it up for a full season last week. Take that, Sinbad, wherever you are.
