Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, says she's devastated after her bulldog reportedly killed a tiny dog Monday near her West Hollywood home. And now, the case is under investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Services.
"I feel incredibly sad and wish I could offer more than condolences," Ronson posted on her Twitter page. "Unfortunately there are no words to describe how sorry I am. There is absolutely nothing I can say that will alter one minute of today, nothing."
Preliminary reports suggest Ronson's dog got loose from her apartment, and engaged in an altercation with a small white dog, that died as a result of the incident.
"The incident is still an allegation until such a time that a witness provides evidence to support the allegation," Michelle Roache, a spokesperson for the animal services department told People.com Tuesday.
The DACC plan to investigate the circumstances of the incident, including reports that the little dog's owner was injured as well. Roache said they would also look into Ronson's dog's past behavior to find out if there were previous incidents.
"We have to determine what provoked it and what's going to be a good ending result for the dog," she said. "Most of these dogs are rehabilitatable."
