In a spoof of his audio recording of the parody children’s book “Go the F--- to Sleep,” the actor narrates and stars in a close-to-four-minute web video about a family of Obama supporters who have grown apathetic this time around.
The story begins: “In the silvery moonlight that bathes every town, the people lie dreaming so safe and so sound. They're warm in their beds, snuggled up in their sheets, but four years before, they were out in the streets.”
It follows the story of a little girl living at home with three generations of her family, all of whom are now underwhelmed with the election process and focused on other things.
Little Susie and Jackson make their rounds, urging the family members to -- you know the line -- "wake the f--- up” and show their support for the president.
The rhymes continue: "Sorry, my friend, but there's not time to snore. An out-of-touch millionaire just declared war. On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay. We're all on our way if Romney has his way. He's against safety nets. If you fall, tough luck. So I strongly suggest, that you wake the f--- up."
As credited at the end of the video, the liberal super PAC Jewish Council for Education and Research funded the project, which quickly went viral this week.
