She was once a doting stepmother to ex-husband Jesse James' daughter, Sunny. But now it seems Sandra Bullock may be trying to cut all ties to the motorcycle man -- even if that means giving up her close relationship with the 7-year-old.
"Sandra doesn't communicate anymore with Sunny," Sunny's mother and James' first wife, Janine Lindemulder, tells Us Weekly. "Sunny never talks about her.
Bullock and Sunny (pictured here in 2009) became very close while the actress was married to her dad for five years. The Oscar winner even helped James fight for custody of the girl in 2009. But the couple's marriage came to a screeching halt when James admitted to cheating on the actress in March 2010. Sandra filed for divorce, and though she and James were in the process of adopting a baby, she eventually finalized the adoption of Louis Bardo as a single parent.
Though the split was sudden, Sunny's mom says she has no hard feelings towards Bullock.
"I don't bear any grudges against Sandra," Lindemulder said. "She has her own son [Louis, 19 months] to raise."
Another source close to Bullock -- who was recently seen vacationing with good buddy Ryan Reynolds -- said that she "has had to move on" from James, which meant disconnecting from Sunny, too. "The last thing she wanted to do was hurt Sunny," the insider added. "But she had to do what was best for her."
