Honestly, is there anyone who's a better sport than Sandra Bullock these days? The actress, in the midst of a possible (and very public) divorce from her famously unfaithful husband Jesse James, now has to give back one of her many awards (no, thankfully not that one!).
A few weeks ago, Bullock dropped in for a surprise appearance at the Golden Raspberry Awards -- a.k.a. the Razzies -- to collect her trophy; she was dubbed Worst Actress of the Year for her performance in the abysmal 2009 comedy All About Steve (costarring Bradley Cooper).
The good-humored star, who gave a speech and brought copies of All About Steve DVDs for the audience, inadvertantly ended up taking home the organization's prototype Razzie statuette, not the $5 version all the "winners" are meant to keep. Since the ceremony, the folks at the Razzies have asked for their statue back.
According to E! News, the head of the Razzies, John Wilson, "previously said he had reached out Bullock's publicist hoping to get the original back because it had sentimental value. But he insisted he never meant for the request to be made public, claiming it was blown out of proportion."
Nevertheless, Bullock's publicist Cheryl Maisel told E!, "We were never contacted by them to return the Razzie. I contacted them yesterday to check the validity of the story and was only told then that we had been given the wrong award. We will be returning the Razzie to them shortly." After all that publicity Sandra Bullock gave to the silly organization, you would think they'd laugh it off and let her keep the prize they handed her on the stage! But we're guessing the movie star, despite the personal heartache she's been through, is probably able to have a sense of humor about the whole mix-up.
Do you think the Razzies should make Sandra Bullock return her award? Chime in below!
