“Having a space that makes you happy is a wonderful thing,” says Sara Tuttle, the talented young interior designer behind Sara Tuttle Interiors. “I think it’s a quality of life issue. If you don’t walk into your house and love what you see, what’s the point?”

We definitely loved what we saw inside Tuttle’s roughly 775-square-foot Washington, D.C., apartment, a combination of cheery colors, vintage finds and DIY magic. She gave us a tour—and shared some of her best tips!
