Sarah Ferguson is coming clean about the video which shows her offering to provide an undercover reporter with access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, in exchange for a hefty payment.

However, the Duchess of York now claims she has not watched the damning video clip that triggered the scandal, and she attributes her lapse in judgment to alcohol. "I haven't faced the devil in the face because I was in the gutter at that moment," Fergie tells Oprah Winfrey in a new interview set to air Tuesday (see The Oprah Winfrey Show's promo clip here.) "So I'm aware of the fact that I've been drinking, you know, that I was not in my right place."

In the now infamous sting video, Ferguson tells the reporter (posing as a wealthy businessman), "I can open any door you want" to the prince -- who is a British trade representative -- and asks for about $750,000 ($40,000 in cash and the rest to be paid in a wire transfer).

London's News of the World broke the story of the attempted scam last week, when the newspaper posted the video on their website.

"I very deeply regret the situation and the embarrassment caused," Ferguson has said in a statement, after the scandal broke. "It is true that my financial situation is under stress. However, that is no excuse for a serious lapse in judgment, and I am very sorry that this has happened. I can confirm that the Duke of York was not aware or involved in any of the discussions that occurred."
