SJP and Hugh Grant on Who Has Better Survival Skills

Columbia Studios

At 5'3," Sarah Jessica Parker may be small, but that doesn't mean the star of Did You Hear About the Morgans? isn't tough. Her costar Hugh Grant swears she'd outlast him if they were stranded in the wilderness. "I think you're, generally speaking, more durable," he tells her, during our exclusive iVillage interview. "You don't look it, but I think you are. I think you've put up with more in life and you've dealt with it better. You have more energy and more pluck."

We're guessing that extra energy comes in handy for the 44-year-old mom, who has three kids with hubby Matthew Broderick, including 6-month-old twin daughters (delivered via surrogate in June). Luckily, she says her son James Wilkie, 7, is an eager helper--most of the time. "Sometimes he's not interested, or annoyed, but mostly he seems very happy," she says.

In their latest rom-com, which opens today, Parker and Grant play a married couple who've had trouble getting pregnant. Grant's character, Paul Morgan, fears he won't make a good father, but the 49-year-old actor says that's no longer a real-life issue for him. "I used to be very frightened of children, but now I've got the hang of them," he says. He even reveals that he might still have kids of his own some day. "It was just fear before. I saw a very frightening film called The Innocence when I was a little boy about children who were possessed by the devil, and I've been frightened of children ever since."

Watch our exclusive video with the costars, to find out why Sarah Jessica was nervous to revisit her role as Carrie for Sex and the City 2 and why Hugh insists he's less reliant on technology than his text-happy costar.
