Get Things Done, But Have Fun Doing It

Like many mothers, Palin says she has learned from her children. In the moments before the press conference announcing her appointment as McCain's running mate, she writes, "I glanced down at Piper, who'd grown up with small crowds and campaign glitz, but in the grassroots fashion of Alaskan politics -- nothing like this. She grinned up at me. There's always something in her eyes that says she's ready to get it done, but she's determined to have fun doing it." Like mother, like daughter.
