Sarah Palin is a grandmother again! The former Vice Presidential candidate's eldest son, Track, and his wife of three months, Britta, welcomed a baby girl named Kyla Grace Palin on Aug. 6 in Alaska.
Although the Conservative pundit has yet to confirm the baby news, her neighbor Joe McGuinness, a reporter who purposely moved next door to Sarah and her husband Todd in Alaska, broke the news on his blog, and it was later confirmed by Britta's mother, Elizabeth Hanson, to RadarOnline.com.
"Kyla Grace is great. She's beautiful. I'm very happy," the maternal grandmother says. "I love my daughter and son-in-law very much."
Newlyweds Track, 22, and Britta, 21, who were high-school sweethearts, exchanged vows in a small ceremony in May. At the time, the families released the following joint statement: "Our families couldn't be happier! These are two hard working, humble, active, studious young adults who grew up together. We're tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blessed."
Although the Palin camp never confirmed pregnancy rumors, pictures of Britta's baby shower appeared on Facebook in late July. According to People, new mom Britta is a nursing student at the University of Alaska, and Track is an Amy Reservist who plans to join his wife at the University after commercial-fishing season ends.
