Here's some very unfunny news for Sarah Silverman and her fans -- the comedian's super-subversive sitcom has been canceled.

Comedy Central announced Wednesday that they will not be renewing The Sarah Silverman Program for a fourth season. No reason was given for axing the show, but the show's time slot was changed from primetime to midnight, halfway through season 3, which gave a pretty good indication that it was on its way out.

It's been a bumpy road for the Emmy winner and the network, as Silverman (who released a memoir, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee, last month) and her producers threatened to end the show after they were told their budget was going to be cut.

Silverman has yet to comment on the cancellation.
