Ah, it's an end of an era, kids.
MTV is pulling the plug on staple show Total Request Live or (TRL) that began 10 years ago, if you can believe that.
"We want to close this era of TRL in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number," Dave Sirulnick, executive producer of TRL told the Associated Press. "This feels like the right time and let's celebrate it and let's reward it."
So, the show's going out in a big way, with a 2-hour farewell bash and some surprise guests. Original host Carson Daly is a definite.
"Folks who helped make TRL what is, whether that's Justin, and his guys in N' Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Britney, Eminem - I think we would love to see all of them here," the EP of TRL said.
Speaking of Eminem -- he actually made a statement about the show's demise:
"I'm going to miss TRL. Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honor vigorously and act like an angry teenager on national TV? Oh wait ... The VMAs!"
Personally, I will miss all the screaming of the14-year-old girls, that pierced my ears, oh, so many times.
