Product: Breathe Right Advanced Nasal Strips
Cost: $15.99 for a box of 26 strips
Claim: Relieves nighttime congestion to help users fall asleep faster and enjoy uninterrupted zzz’s

This four-pronged adhesive strip, which users apply to the bridge of their nose, works to lift the sides via a spring-like band. Makers claim this action gently pulls open the cartilage walls of the nasal passages, helping users breathe more comfortably and fall asleep faster. So what’s the real scoop? Breathe Right strips can be a helpful sleep aid if you’re congested due to a cold or allergy, explains Susan Rausch, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director at the Sleep Center at Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA. “They are not, however, a treatment for sleep apnea,” she warns, since that medical condition warrants a more formal medical treatment. Verdict: Score! (If it's congestion that's keeping you up, at least.)
