Product: Sleep Innovations Rejuvenation Memory Foam Pillow
Cost: $74.85
Claim: This pillow, which positions the head and neck at an 18-degree angle, promises to ensure better shut-eye by improving airflow so you can fall asleep faster and sleep more deeply without interruption.

Designed to support your head, neck and shoulders at an angle that encourages optimal breathing, this contoured memory-foam pillow also purports to relieve pressure on your neck and chest, so lungs can expand more effectively while you snooze. “It would make sense that this might optimally open the airway, if placed properly, for a back sleeper, and they did not move all night. But, there are a lot of qualifications,” Breus notes. When asked for studies to back up the claims, the makers instead provided a summary, citing the research as proprietary. Our expert's verdict: “Their statistics had no objective data reported, thus experts like myself are left to believe that this pillow cannot improve sleep,” says Breus.
