While shooting her new film We Bought a Zoo (in theaters Dec. 23), Scarlett Johansson found herself face-to-face with tons of dangerous predators. But the actress says the uneasiness of sharing the camera with a lion and a tiger was nothing compared to how she feels when she spots a cockroach.
"I can't stand them! I'm crippled by them. It's my kryptonite," Johansson, 27, tells iVillage exclusively. "(The animals on set) were lovely and fluffy and sweet. Okay, they're predators. They'll eat you in one bite. You're like a Rice Krispies treat to them. But nothing compares to cockroaches."
Of course, her upcoming movie isn't just about the animals -- it's also a love story. And even though Johansson (who split from Ryan Reynolds after two years of marriage) has had her ups and downs in love, she's keeping an open mind about romance.
"I don't know if I believe in love at first sight," she says. "Maybe. I hear tale of it. I think it probably exists somewhere."
Watch our exclusive video interview to find out why Johansson says she has "no regrets" about her divorce and why her most memorable Christmas Eve was spent in a veterinarian's office.
