Scarlett Johansson knows she's hot stuff. The 28-year-old actress has just been voted Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive for the second time, making her the only person to nab the honor twice. Yet despite being named the most desirable woman on the planet, she still worries about her fiance Romain Dauriac looking at other girls.
"I didn't think I was a jealous person until I started dating my current, my one-and-only," she tells the magazine. "I think maybe in the past I didn't have the same kind of investment. Not that I liked my partner less, I just wasn't capable of it or caring that much."
Sounds a little like she's throwing shade at her ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, but we think she's just being honest; people change a lot during their 20s. Or maybe Dauriac has taught Johansson that a little jealousy is healthy.
"Look, I'm with a Frenchman. I think jealousy comes with the territory," Johansson admits. "But I'd rather be with someone who's a little jealous than someone who's never jealous. There's something a little dead fish about them. A little bit depressing. It may not make sense, but you need to feel it a little. I know, irrational, right?"
Actually, Johansson seems quite rational, especially compared to some other actresses her age. The last time she was named Sexiest Woman Alive, she scoffed at it a bit, joking, "I'm sure my mom will be proud. You work hard making independent films for 14 years and you get voted best breasts." This time around, she sees it as a career boost. Specifically, the kind of career boost that will allow her to do more work she enjoys.
"You know, I gotta hustle. I'm a 28-year-old woman in the movie business, right?" she says. "Pretty soon the roles you're offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop. I have to hedge against that with work -- theater, producing, this thing with Esquire."
Yep, she's beautiful and smart. Now we're the ones getting a little jealous...
