Spring Vegetables: Asparagus

How to choose: Look for straight, green, rounded stalks that are firm and do not have an odor. The tips should be small, tight and closed. Avoid asparagus with woody stalks.

How to store: Refrigerate your asparagus or keep it in cold water. It's best used the day you buy it, but it will keep up to four days.
