The Secret to Prevent Overeating

For many of us, our downfall when it comes to eating, is to snack on whatever’s in sight when we get hungry. Sure, we have busy lives, and when hunger strikes, it really strikes and we’ve just got to eat… right then and there. The calories add up when you’re not consciously thinking about what you’re putting in your mouth. Whether you’re an all-day snacker or someone who solely eats her three meals a day, it’s still easy to overeat.

The solution? Be a mindful eater by strategically planning your meals and snacks with whole foods that will help you stay full for longer periods of time. A low-fat, high-protein diet helps with that.

If you’re still not getting enough protein from you meals, you can add a protein mix to the foods you already eat. BodyFactory, a nutrition and wellness company owned by celebrity trainer Robert Green, has a BodyFuel protein mix that can be added to fresh fruits and ice, blended, for a refreshingly healthy smoothie that will keep you full for longer. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian swear by it.

Try Kim's recipe:

12 ounces filtered water
1/2 banana
1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
2 scoops BodyFuel protein powder
Ice

Blend all ingredients well in a blender.

Not a big smoothie person? A trick we like to do here in the office is to add protein mix to our breakfast oatmeal. This way, when noon rolls around, we’re not gnawing on anything and everything… saving room for a delicious lunch later.
