See the Crazy Items Marketed to Women at the NRA Convention

The NRA convention over the weekend was lady-friendly, with pink and lacy gun-centric products on offer

This weekend's National Rifle Association convention in Houston was bound to be an especially controversial affair, given the added momentum surrounding the issue of gun control in the wake of the Newtown massacre.

In the last week, many Americans were scandalized to learn about guns marketed to children, after a five-year-old boy shot to death his two-year-old sister in Kentucky with such a weapon. So it probably won't surprise you to learn that guns and gun-related merchandise targeted -- ahem -- at women was on offer all over the NRA's event this weekend.

From shell casing jewelry to pink holster bras and Sex in the City-inspired gun-toting handbags (could we make this stuff up?), the market for lady firearm-related products is evidently booming. Behold, a sample of the most WTF-worthy products we spotted:

When I'm out for a hike, yeah, I admit to stuffing my car keys and iPhone in my bra. But this pink underthing outfitted with gun holster seems to take brassiere utility to a new -- and seriously dubious -- level.

You could aim a murderous weapon at a target with a boring old man's gun. Or you could "shoot like a girl" -- a ubiquitous tagline on merch marketed to women at the NRA's event -- with this sultry pink number.
