First they pose with babies and now they adopt a dog. Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber just might be the most domestic teen couple ever!
In public, the young couple was packing in the PDA at a Winnipeg Jets hockey game in Bieber's native Canada on Saturday night. But in private, the duo was taking care of a new charge -- a dog they quietly adopted from a local animal shelter.
According to People, Gomez, 19, and Bieber, 17, surprised the folks at Winnipeg animal rescue D'Arcy's A.R.C. with a visit, where they indulged in some puppy love.
"They spent a lot of time with the puppies," the shelter's CEO, D'Arcy Johnston, tells People. "I was told that [Gomez] was missing the dogs that she has at home."
Gomez, who was performing in Winnipeg as part of the Canadian leg of her tour, has a heart for animals. She owns five rescue dogs and is a big advocate for animal rescue. So it's only natural that during their hour-long visit to the shelter, she and Bieber fell for a 10-week-old husky mix.
"I wasn't expecting her to adopt a dog while she was on tour and has a busy schedule," Johnston says.
Gomez, who passed the screening process and was able to leave with the puppy in tow, named her new dog Baylor.
Babies, dogs, traveling together, public displays of affection -- Gomez and Bieber are already acting like an old married couple. Maybe this is one teen romance that will actually last.
