Selena Gomez on Justin Bieber Baby Scandal: "It's Not Easy"

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Biebs' girlfriend speaks out about allegations that Justin is the father of a 3-month-old boy

Selena Gomez probably expected some crazy shenanigans when she started dating pop sensation Justin Bieber, but she likely wasn't planning on a fan filing a paternity suit against her beau of almost one year. Although the suit has since been dismissed, Gomez, 19, admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday that the whole situation has been very trying on her. Watch below!

Ellen kicked off their chat by mentioning "what a crazy last two weeks its been in the news."

"To say the least," Gomez replied.

So what has it been like for Selena to deal with the allegations of 20-year-old Mariah Yeater, who earlier this month claimed that Bieber, 17, fathered her 3-month-old son thanks to a post-concert tryst at Los Angeles' Staples Center? "It's not easy," the singer admitted.

For now, however, Gomez is relieved that the hubbub surrounding the scandal is beginning to die down (despite the fact that Yeater still wants a DNA test). "It's good to just kind of... be good," Gomez told Ellen.

Though Bieber agreed to a paternity test -- and threatened to counter-sue if the baby wasn't his -- in the wake of Yeater's claims, it remains to be seen whether he'll still take the test now that the lawsuit against him has been dropped.

Either way, Bieber is sticking to his guns that the baby is not his. In fact, he stated on the Today show earlier this month that he's never even met Yeater, let alone had sex with her.

"I'd just like to say, basically, that none of those allegations are true. I know that I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim," Bieber said as the Today crowd cheered. "It's crazy, every night after the show I've gone right from the stage right to my car, so it's crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations. To set the record straight, none of it is true."

As for Gomez, DeGeneres thinks that she should focus on other more pressing matters these days -- like Bieber's low-hanging pants. "I think you have influence," Ellen told the singer, "and you can get him to pull his pants up."

"I really can't," Gomez responded. "I've told him... he laughs."
